The beginning of an Heirloom...

This Thanksgiving I was given a beautiful Irish crystal jam jar from my Grandmother. The jam jar was given to her by her then mother-in-law "to be" when she first visited my family in Ireland. This Jar has been passed through the matriarchal line for multiple generations.
I felt honored to be trusted with such a gift and task. The task being to care for a piece of our family history for my daughter, granddaughter etc, to carry this piece down the line for generations to come.

I began looking through my collection of "things". I want to contribute to this family history for future generations. I want to be the start of an heirloom.
After looking through my own belongings I looked around our and came up with a few items that I think would make great Heirlooms.

Tumble Tree Timbers

Mini-Tumble Tree Timbers

Every Earth Wooden Dollhouse

Uncle Goose's Presidential blocks.
Earnest Efforts Wooden Rattles
Wooden Egyptian hieroglyphic blocks
What Heirloom will start with you?

Have a lovely day,
Alexis
