This last weekend we made the trek up to Seattle for the Seattle gift show.
We met some incredible shop owners, saw some beautiful shops and came back inspired!!
One goal we had was to visit as many "crave Seattle" shop owners as we could. On our way to Seattle we stopped by Sonja's...clothes to live in in Tacoma. Sonja's shop has beautiful boutique quality clothing and shoes for women, as well as cosmetics, candles, perfumes etc.
The kinds of items you will look and feel great in!!
Sonja was absolutely lovely and welcomed us with open arms. She also told us about some amazing work she's doing in her area right now to bring female business owners together.
!!INSPIRED!!
We discussed our desire to create a collaborative community of small business owners here in Portland and are very excited to continue discussion with Sonja about establishing a similiar group in our neighborhood!!

After our day at the Gift show we ventured up to Ballard, just outside of Seattle and found so many incredible shops!!
Just one of the many shops we all fell in love with was Lucca.
Walking into Lucca is like taking a bite of decadent chocolate ganache cake topped with homemade tahitian vanilla bean ice cream; the matte black walls and ceiling adorned with crystal chandeliers creates a richness and warmth that welcomes you in and and keeps you there.
Lucca's has it's own line of beautiful greeting cards, each card is printed in Seattle on beautiful paper with charming and elegant vintage designs.
Elegant objects for your home, handmade papers, stationary, beautiful table books and so much more!
As you can probably tell...we loved it.
We also visited an adorable children's shop called Clover. The shop has clothing, toys, room and home decor etc... Very high quality items with a classical theme. Somewhere you would shop for yourself, and find a great gift too!!
It wasn't all work and no play for us on our trip to Seattle...
My husband and daughter lost themselves in the beautiful Seattle library.
We ate some amazing food and had so much fun walking from shop to shop.
Saw some great local arts and crafts, and playing around with some really fun novelty toys!!
In the next few days I will tell you all more about a few of the fantastic shops we visited in the Seattle and Ballard area!
Have a lovely day,
Alexis & Heather
